I miss the CSA. In an effort to console myself on a rainy Sunday, I made pho for lunch and this is how it went: chicken broth and fish sauce in a pan on low; garlic, lime juice, crushed ginger, coriander seeds, cayenne pepper. Rice noodles for 6 minutes in boiling water. Shredded raw broccoli stems and carrots in heated broth, wait a minute. Noodles in the bowl, broth and veg over top, cilantro and mung bean sprouts stuck in the side. A lime squeeze. Ah.
